About Forest Ave. Auto

In Brockton, shops are busiest on Monday mornings and before holiday weekends, so a mid-week appointment gets a car seen faster. Labor rates across Massachusetts vary by neighborhood and by shop type, from small independents to dealership service bays, and mobile mechanics now cover many routine jobs in the driveway. Before authorizing a repair, ask for the estimate in writing, whether the shop warranties parts and labor (12 months / 12,000 miles is common, some offer more), and whether it can provide a loaner or a shuttle. Check the listing for hours, the makes the shop works on and its Google rating, then call ahead, since walk-in capacity is limited at smaller shops.

Hours are published for 6 days a week. The most common schedule is 7:30 am–3 pm. It is closed on Sunday. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. The listed phone number is (508) 586-0050. Many businesses also reply to text messages on the same number if it is a cell phone.

On Google it holds a rating of 4.9 out of 5 from 48 reviews, which is a strong result for an auto repair shop in Brockton and suggests consistent service.

Brockton is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Brockton follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

George is an amazing mechanic and an overall great human in general. I’d recommend Forest Ave Auto in Brockton to anybody who needs an experienced, knowledgeable, and personable mechanic. I went to Forest Ave Auto this week to simply get an oil change on a 2011 Acura RDX I had just bought about a month ago. Not only did George (the main mechanic and owner of the auto shop) do an efficient oil change, he let me watch the process from a safe distance, examined the SUV, and pointed out a somewhat major issue it had with its exhaust system that was causing the noise I had been hearing from it for the past week. To replace the part that was causing the issue would cost me cost me around $700-$900 including parts and labor at most shops. George was able fix the existing part of the exhaust system for about $80 the very next day. What a guy 🙏 Thanks for being awesome George!

This garage saved me $14,000. I was going to buy a used car that I asked George to inspect. He alerted me not only to obvious problems but also signs of potentially serious issues in the future. Thoughtful, honest, skillful, affable--I feel so fortunate to have found this garage (due to stellar reviews like this one). And he did this all for me for the price of a tank of gas.

George as been working in my cars for years and I never have nothing to complain about. Good service all the time. I’ll refer anyone anytime without hesitation. Wow George again working in my wife Mercedes Benz last 2weeks and I was surprised today when I received a call from him which is today December 11, 2024 to find out how the car is driving. When I told him the car is driving well only a check engine light which I’m not worried about he told me no no I want you to stop by next few days so I can check why that happened. I was really happy with him. Please take your cars there anytime. I swear you’ll be happy
